Bio

Attorney Nicholas G. Platt, a native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, joined Mooney Law in 2020.

Attorney Platt earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Computer Forensics, from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2012. After graduating from Bloomsburg University, Attorney Platt began working for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Human Services as an Income Maintenance Caseworker in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. In 2015, Attorney Platt enrolled in law school at Widener University Commonwealth Law School as an Evening Division student and continued serving Pennsylvania’s most vulnerable citizens with the Department of Human Services’ Office of Medical Assistance Programs.

During law school, Attorney Platt continued his service with the Office of Medical Assistance programs and led a team who managed over one billion dollars of annual supplemental hospital payments for Pennsylvania hospitals that served high volumes of Medicaid-eligible patients.

Attorney Platt graduated from Widener University Commonwealth Law school with a business advising certificate in 2019, passed the July 2019 bar exam, and is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania.  Attorney Platt is at the helm of the firm’s expanding Bankruptcy Practice as he travels to each of our offices to meet with clients about all manner of debt resolution and bankruptcy-related issues.

Attorney Platt is energized to continue helping people assert their rights to debt relief and is eager to provide valuable legal services to clients in Central Pennsylvania. In his spare time, he also enjoys cooking, hiking, reading, and spending quality time with friends and family, including his nieces and nephews.
