Attorney Mark Buterbaugh, a partner and litigation attorney at Mooney & Associates, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the United Way of Franklin County. His appointment by the Board was finalized this week.
Community service is not new to Attorney Buterbaugh. He recently resigned from the Shippensburg School Board due to relocating his residence. He served as an elected Board Member for ten years, serving the last three years as President of the Board. Buterbaugh has also served on Shippensburg Borough Council, Shippensburg Parks and Recreation Commission, on the Board of Shippensburg’s merchant group, Downtown Organizations Investing Together, and currently serves on the Board of Shippensburg Produce and Outreach, an organization that provides fresh vegetables to the community’s needy.
On his appointment, Buterbaugh stated:
“I am excited to move beyond serving in an elected capacity, and instead serve in a capacity that helps in a charitable manner. The United Way is so critical to the communities they serve in mobilizing volunteer efforts. Specifically for Franklin County, the United Way is driven to serve in specific areas, such as encouraging early learning, fostering workforce development, and promoting healthy choices. I’m looking forward to offering my assistance in helping the United Way of Franklin County push into the future.”
