Mooney Law Thanks All Essential Workers Through This COVID-19 Crisis

Thank You

The Coronavirus has sparked fear in most Americans.  Increased infections, increased deaths, an erratic government response, and more spark more increased anxiety among thousands of Pennsylvanians working from home and socially isolating.  One thing we have learned through this process is that our definition of essential workers has rapidly developed.

Mooney Law would like to take an opportunity to THANK these essential workers.  This list is far from exclusive.

First, we thank the thousands of doctors, nurses, LPNs, CNAs, maintenance and janitorial staffs, personal caregivers, home health aides, and all the other medical personnel putting their lives at risk for  us.  In a time of war, it easy to identify military personnel as our protectors and heroes.  In a war like this, health care workers become our front line defense and protection.  They are potentially exposing themselves to COVID-19 by taking care of those that are sick.  What a monumental effort, and for that, we say THANK YOU to all HEALTH CARE WORKERS, whether in hospitals, doctor’s offices, urgent cares, or nursing homes.  Thank you from Mooney Law.  You are true American heroes.

Second, let’s give a huge shout out to food service and agricultural workers.  Whether these workers work in food manufacturing plants, warehouse and distribution centers, convenience stores, grocery stores and pharmacies, or in agricultural plants and farms, America is now realizing just how valuable these hard workers are to the American economy.  They are producing food and goods, keeping stores open, handling goods and product, and delivering food to our homes, while potentially exposing themselves to risk.  Many of these jobs are critical and underpaid.   Without them, our nation would be collapsing.  Hopefully when this crisis ends, we remember the critical role they played to keep America going through an unprecedented crisis.   Hopefully, we continue to realize the critical role the play on a daily basis and their importance to our lives, economy, and well-being.  Thank you!

Third, thank you to our dedicated law enforcement, paid and volunteer fire and rescue workers, and all emergency response personnel.  Again, must we really talk about the extreme risks these people forth each and every day for all of us?  In this crisis, these efforts are even more evident.  Thank you!

Fourth, energy workers are continuing to produce fuel and energy, delivering  gasoline to gas pumps, and delivering home heating oil to homes.  Their jobs haven’t stopped.  Thank you.

Fifth, let’s thank our postal and delivery workers.  Our dedicated US Postal service, FEDEX, and UPS personnel are working diligently to deliver packages, products and goods, and mail throughout the United States and exposing themselves to risk.  Thank you.

Dare we forget our dedicated truck drivers who are working long hours to move goods and product across the country.  They do so with limited facilities, such as restaurants, to rest and eat at during their travels.  Where would we be without them?  Let’s thank the terminal and dock workers who are loading these trucks for delivery.  The transportation industry is so vital to our economy, but in an unprecedented crisis like this, even more so.

This is only a small list of hard working Americans that are exposing themselves to risk to keep this nation, state, and our communities moving forward.  They are making genuine sacrifices during this uncharted challenge.   These essential workers are the true fabric of American greatness.  Mooney Law just wanted to take a small minute to say —THANK YOU FOR YOUR EFFORTS on behalf of a grateful nation.
